Check Out Michael Jordan’s Video Tribute To Kobe Bryant

With the 13th pick in the 1996 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets selected Kobe Bryant from Lower Merion High School in Philadelphia, PA.

Then, they immediately traded him to the Lakers for Vlade Divac, and the rest is history.

Last night, Kobe made his final appearance in Charlotte as a player, assuming the Lakers and Hornets don’t meet in the NBA Finals.

In honor of the Black Mamba’s retirement tour, Michael Jordan left him with a special message which was displayed on the jumbotron prior to tip-off.

Of course, we all know MJ really just wanted to say, “6>5,” but it was a nice gesture nonetheless.

PS- Awesome intro by the Hornets PA guy at the end of MJ’s speech.
