What is the name of the artist/group?

“Individually we are Yung Dizzy D & Lil Bill Swavey, which make up the group That Nation.”

Why did you choose that name?

“We both had individual rap names associated with our clicks, and it made since to join both in a way and call it That Nation.”

What is your age?

“We are both 23 years old.”

For how long are you making music?

“We’ve been making music together as a group since High School, so its been 8 years now.”

Why did you choose for making music?

“We always choose to use real lyrics, and dope tracks to give our fans.”

What art do you most identify with?

“We enjoy all types of music from today and back in the day as well as movies from the past.”

What did you do before all this?

“We both have had various 9 to 5s in order to pay the bills while we pursue our music careers.”

What is your most recent track release?

“We got a new single for the streets called Drop The Money, and another radio record called My Whole Life we made as a reflection of our lives told in a way our fans can feel.”

What is your most recent video release?

“The video to Whole Notha Mogul Mix feat Master P we did in New Orleans.”

When are you going to release new music?

“We have a new track coming with our label mate Nino, who’s out of Philly. That single is crazy!”

How do you work when making a track?

“We really just go into the studio and vibe off each other, while keeping the surroundings very real!”

Who is your favorite artist(s)?

“Frank Sinatra, Master P, Biggie, Nas, Kevin Gates, Madonna just to name a few.”

“New-School cause thats the time we are living in, and the generation we are a part of, although we love old-school too.”

What’s your favourite artwork?

“The American Flag in any picture because this country allows those who work hard to eat.”

Describe a real-life situation that inspired you?

“Growing up in Opelousas, LA was hard, and gave us all the real life stories we needed to introduce ourselves to the world. We evolve, and definitely look forward to seeing a lot more through touring, and interacting with our fans.”

What memorable responses have you had to your work?

“Having a mogul like Master P really enjoy our music was a huge thing for us, and really just having fans period is awesome and surreal.”

Name something you love, and why?

“Our fans because they didn’t have to like or love us.”

Name something you don’t love, and why?

“Fake people. They cause a lot of problems.”

What’s your scariest experience?

“We just had a really scary experience while on tour. Ran out of gas in Texas on a stretch of highway with no gas stations for miles. we were stuck on a back road with roadkill, and other animals we weren’t trying to get out and meet.”

Professionally, what’s your goal?

“To learn the industry in order to one day be able to change the lives of younger talent coming up under us, and become the next moguls they talk about.”

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

“Never give up!”

What would your most favorite collaboration be?

“That Nation feat Cardi B.”

What is your biggest dream?

“To be able to provide for our families.”

What are your plans for 2018?

“More music released, more shows, and tours.”
