Wale Performs At President Obama’s State Of The Union
Wale becomes the first rapper to open for a State of the Union address.
President Obama delivered his eighth and final State of the Union address Tuesday night. Before he took the podium in the House Chamber, another notable DC celeb took the stage to get the crowd hyped: Wale.
Wale performed “Chillin'” and “LoveHateThing,” at the WhiteHouse.gov’s #SOTU pre-show, at a venue other than the US Capitol. The performance comes just days after Kendrick Lamar paid ol’ Barack a visit in the White House. Wale is a White House veteran himself, having performed there sat on Michelle Obama’s education panel last summer.
